When you activate without a device, add-on, in-store purchased item or rental device the only two charges you will have are the part of your first month you use called your Prorated month and your next full months bill. Please take a look at the below table to help us explain your initial bill a bit more.

Initial Payment
Rental Fee We provided both free and affordable rentals depending on the device and its availability. Rentals that are not free only require a one time upfront fee unless specified otherwise, this is also depending on the Device. Since PhoneBox runs on a month to month basis our Billing Cycle starts on the 2nd of every month and ends on the 2nd of the following month. If you do not activate on the 1st of the month you are charged for only part of the month you use and have a equal portion of your plans Minutes, Messages and Data.

Your prorated/partial payment is the percentage(%) of your initial Month that you use on the month you activate on. PhoneBox operates on a month to month basis, so when you activate on your first month you are only using part of that month, so you only have to pay for the part of the month you are using. Your first bill includes this part of your first month and the following full month.

Our Billing (Monthly) Cycle is from the 2nd of the month to the 1st of the following month. Our Payment period is from the 15th to 25th, meaning that you receive your invoice reminder on the 15th of every month and you must pay before the 25th. We use the below formula to Calculate Partial Payment:

Calculating Partial Payment

(Monthly plan price ÷ Days in this month) x Days left until 2nd of next month = Cost of the partial month

eg. Activating on August 22nd with Box 38
($38 ÷ 31) x 11 = $13.48
